Life is one long learning process, and college is a sanctuary devoted to protect and nourish fro those who want and eager to learn.Everyone has their own unique reasons for attending college different from anybody else. Some people attend college simply because they are not yet ready for the 9-5 shift of every day job. For them it is an easy way out to avoid responsibilities. I remember myself sitting in class and seeing lots of faces behind me staring at nothing at all .
These students are in their seats, taking notes from time to time while thinking about other things. Hence, physically present but mentally absent.Though it is hard to ponder and accept that millions of people are dying to get an education because of the overwhelming financial crises all over the world, these boys in Russia do not consider how lucky they are to be able to attend college compared to those less fortunate ones. Sad but true, school it is not what really interests them it’s just what everybody else does. It’s just some kind of norm, an obligation. It is not the very essence of education which is learning. But rather, college means a legal way of avoiding the army.
Indeed, a cunning escape. On the other hand, there are these students who really work hard to get to college. These students believe the education is the major key to success. They love studying and learning. They are always hungry for new knowledge. Education for these individuals in addition to upholding their own inner abilities — is an attempt to develop and widen their sense of responsibilities for their fellowmen in place of the elevation of success and power in our present society.
Accordingly, though I have already a degree in Business Administration, still there is a longing, emptiness inside me a mission to study further. Getting an education in USA has been a long dream of mine. Now that I am here, this is long time dream came to a reality. I have made it a point to spend my time worthily by gaining more wisdom. In the process, I am learning more about international culture, art, history, and economics from an entirely different perspective.Though quite diverse from my education background, these fresh new ideas and concepts have definitely broadened my horizons, acceptance, and tolerance. I have studied English for 2 years in high school; I thought then that I am good enough. Until I live here in USA that I discovered how little my knowledge is.
These entirely whole new experiences are making my life even more exciting, challenging, and more praiseworthy of living. To ponder more deeply, it is a known fact that college degree is essential for job seekers in today’s workforce.The number and of works available for college graduates is much better, with higher salary and good benefits. Therefore, attending and graduating from college is the most excellent way to get ready for a career that pays well and provides a means to a future that is secure. If a person is determined and hard working, the chances of graduating from college is just a glimpse away.
But bear in mind, that there is no elevator to success, one has to take the ladder. It is like riding a bicycle, if a person stops pedaling; he will stop moving forward, and unquestionably he will fall.Let us plant in our heart and digest what JFK has uttered, “The human mind is our fundamental resource. ..
