The only temporary and short lived unfortunately.

The Correlation between Experienceand Happiness            Happiness means havingpositive feelings and a positive state of mind. The majority of people do experiencehappiness many times throughout morning, afternoon and night perhaps manytimes, but they may not remember the specific situation that caused thehappiness because either they do not pay them attention or you take them forgranted. It is also true that happiness does not last long it’s a temporarymindset. It may leave some good memories or impressions both good and bad somewe would like to remain forever, others not so much, but happiness itselfremains fleeing in most cases. There are a couple differentideas to a person’s happiness. One would be a person’s state  of mind, the other would be the experience ofhappiness. The experience of happiness comes from a person’s experience ofpositive feelings that often occur from the events or the positive influencesof  people you surround yourself with orcross paths with in your life. For some the feelings of happiness come when youbuy that new Red Corvette, The House on the beach, buying your trophy wife thatnew five carat diamond ring, a country club golf membership in Palm Springsthese are not illusions these are experience’s .

The state of happiness startswith a person’s general mind set a positive attitude.  This will always develop overtime as a generalcharacteristic or aspect of people’s personality, and influences peoples happythoughts or how they react or respond to the situation or specific happy experiencesin their life. These thoughts are generally only temporary and short livedunfortunately. For example for many years a father and his son took up thesport of auto racing. Several times a year both would attend the WinterNationals in Pomona, tragically the young man’s father dies after battling aterminal illness for ten years.

In memory of this young man’s father he decideson purchasing an early 1971 Chevelle SS and the build begins in this young man’sfather’s memory. For many years countless hours goes into to the constructionof this car, welding reinforcements to the frame, thousands of dollars into a454 cubic inch big block Chevrolet motor, bucket racing seats with five pointharness’s, Steele reinforced roll cage, disk brakes all the way around, fourlink suspension with postreaction rear end. Points being over the many yearseach one of these projects were experience’s that brought true happiness tothis young man’s life.        For a lot of people life has its challengesand difficulty’s may it be financial insecurity, the lack of gainful employmentor just the struggles of everyday life brings all people on a day to day basis.People have to sacrifice many things and personal freedom to make a living fortheir families.  Hence, they do notexperience happiness as much as they would anticipate or would like to expect.

You cannot remove the many condition that happen in everyday life each day thatinterferes with a person’s true happiness or increases a person’s discomfortand unhappiness. You cannot be entirely free from stress and anxiety this willnever happen since life brings most people in todays society a lot of hardships in the work place, at home the survivaland search for a person’s true unconditional happiness exist. However, a personcan learn to be happy and peaceful within their means and even in not so idealconditions. people can do it by changing their critical thinking, changingtheir mindsets  to something positiverather than the negative , change ones expectations and attitude all together. For example, if you go on a trip to thebeach, and the weather is terrible, you might not view it as a pleasurablehappy go lucky experience. Instead, you may view it as a challenge, and overtime remember the positive aspects of the experience more than the negativeaspects this will obviously lead to genuine happiness.

With other things youcan’t do this, because they are what they are. We often share storiesabout positive experiences like a trip to the mountains skiing after theyreceived two foot of snow after a long drought because they’re more fun to talkabout. Those stories are simply more entertaining.

For example, once a year alocal construction company would show their appreciation to their employeeswith a trip to Mammoth. Each year they would close their doors for a week andrent a fishing lodge at Convict Lake. The employees would spend an entire week Fishing on pontoon boats, kayaking, hiking, skiing, barbequing or just sitting around the campfire reminiscingabout events of the past. This was an all-expense paid trip by the constructioncompany for the employees. These experiences brought a lot of happiness to theemployees, they felt appreciated and not just being an employee, it built goodmoral and motivated the employees to do better in the years to come.

Thesepositive experiences created happiness for the employees.             Happiness isn’t something that youexperience long-term, it’s something you have to work at and continueworking at your whole life. It fluctuates between emotions, feelings, circumstances and situations. Happiness is completely inconsistent and our moodcan change from being on top of the world to being completely underneath it ina matter of seconds.(Becca Martin)!
