The Civil war was a tragedy for both sides of the war. For the Union and the Confederate. After the Civil war, both sides became united and became stronger together. But during the Civil war, there was much fighting. And after the Civil war there were many effects. That is what I am going to talk about.
The three major effects of the Civil war are, slavery ended everywhere in all of the US, the Civil war crushed the South’s economy, and, without the positive effects of the Civil war, the country would not be where it is today. The first major effect was that slavery was ended everywhere in the united states. That happened because of this.
That happened because since the US won the Civil war, they got what they wanted. What they wanted was for slavery to end. The US thought that slavery was wrong, so they went to war, even thought that was not the only reason they went to war.
The CS thought that slavery was a good thing because they thought they were doing the slaves a favor. That was the first major effect. The second major effect was that US crushed the south’s economy. That happened because of this. That happened because of all the battles that took place in the south destroyed the south. And because the civil war crushed the south’s economy, they had to rebuild a lot of the stuff that was destroyed.
Even though they did some bad stuff, General Grant helped oversee the rebuilding in the south. They had to rebuild some houses, some work buildings, some farms, and a lot of other stuff. They also had to plant up the resources like food and supplies and stuff like that. That was the second major effect. The third major effect was that without the positive effects of the Civil war, the country would not be where it is today. That would be technically true because of this. That happened because of all the other effects that happened after the Civil war, made this effect happen. Some of the effects were, slavery ended everywhere in all of the US, the Civil war crushed the South’s economy, and, many families were torn apart after the Civil war.
This effect would also not have happened because of the emotions after the Civil war. That’s true because the people were so sad and some people were so happy because the Civil war ended. Also, a lot of people also had mixed feelings about the end of the Civil war.
