In other words, people with different characteristics and ideas have many options to choose from. Social relationships, for instance, provides a good range of selectivity depending mainly upon personal identities of others. The social impacts of the previous generations which influenced a person’s individuality were familiar such as parents, peers and communities. On the other hand, the present generation is heavily influenced by social media, creating an image of who society wants individuals to be. It advises people on what would make them feel accepted, attractive, and popular. By the level of understanding from their appearance and their way of thinking. In the contrary, the impact of body image in business relationships is not very strong as there are many other key factors, other than personal characteristics.The images of perfection people see in print, film and television project an unrealistic version of reality that world continually showcases them as attainable. The media is a powerful tool that reinforces cultural beliefs and values, and while it may not be fully responsible for determining the standards for physical attractiveness, it makes escaping the barrage of images and attitudes almost impossible. Intolerance of body diversity has a lot to do with prejudice of size and shape in our culture. In our modern life, connecting with others using social media is gaining a growing popularity among many people nowadays. On one hand, a media-based relationship is dependent on imaginary image. An image created through others’ thoughts displayed behind a computer screen.This connection may be falsified by an inappropriate evaluation. Our self-identities define each person as a unique individual, and it plays a significant role in who a person is, as well as to help them decide which path to take in life. Personal identity encompasses the total knowledge that an individual gains about themselves as they continue to develop throughout their life such as their personalities, capabilities, intellectual and physical attributes, interests, and relationships. Humans are social beings that require a part of their development to take place in the social context they live in. By contrast, social media may create a good environment for similar ways of thinking to meet and get introduced to each other. Exchanging ideas and common topics over the network will provide a chance to know people who share our interests and many other thinking strategies. This will be an add up to our life both socially and from the practical point-of-view. Modern technologies play a vital role in fostering our life capabilities through connecting us to people who would support our ideas and future plans.In conclusion, personal identity is a decision making factor in constructing a human relationship. The use of social media is impacted by interacting with people who have different ideas and cultural backgrounds.
