The critical success factors (CSF) paper examinedthe factors of ERP implementations in Cihan university.
This report hasproduced the experimental evidence to support the theories to academicresearch. ERP have recognized 8 CSFs in relation to ERP implementations in higheducation. These are Commitment and support of top management, Projectmanagement, User training and education, Business Plan and Vision, Technologicalinfrastructure, Departments participation, Change Management and Communication. Many administrations across the world have been implemented ERP implementationand has become a key business. Therefore, these issues have been investigatedby many researchers all over the world to identify the critical successfactors. But the most important success factors were ERP implementation successfor Cihan University are Project management, Technological infrastructure andCommitment and support of top management of CSFs and ERP implementation successat higher education at Iraq (AL-SABAAWI, 2015).
Considering thesefactors are critical for the advance of the field in both academic and training. Therefore, recommending a strong foundation of CSFs for additional examine inERP implementation is very essential. All of these aspects are significant tobe aware of and managed in order to ensure the success of ERP advantages indeveloping education. – Projectmanagement Accordingto the research paper project management is the second factor of ERPimplementation of any organization system, and also is the first and main keyof success factor in Cihan University after data analyzation.
Projectmanagement table indicates the average equals (4.750) which is approximatelythe highest value in the table. Variables of this factor realized mean between(4.833) and (4.834). ERP Project management considers as a skill that manage and track an organization’sdata to meet deadlines and stay within budget.
Based on that, project management performs will have a positiveeffect to ERP implementation success in Cihan University. The project manager needs to be a leader andhave the point of university administration. Theanalysis of project management research shows result of this study will helpunderstand the growth of project management as a field of practice and anacademic control. – Communication Developing ERP communications canexistent an organizational challenge. Table (9) shows the general average is(4.497) which is higher than arithmetic mean that is (4) (AL-SABAAWI, 2015).
Strong communicationswithin the entire organization during the implementation process rises successfor ERP implementation. It allows organizations to understand the goal and expectbenefits as to share the progress of a project. Communication is directly linkedto employees to keep track of how well the employees are doing in theirtraining and whether it is efficient.
If there is a time to employees beincluded in dialogs, it is a big change approaching to the organization. ERPcommunications strategies can build or interrupt ability to efficaciously implementERP system. Therefore, it is important to communicate frequently with allorganization’s members.
– Technological infrastructure ? According toCSF research does not clear that ERP infrastructure contain a transition frominformation systems and business processes to an integrated infrastructurethroughout an organization, but technological infrastructure indicates to the entire organization as equipment, software, networks to develop, operate, monitor, manage information technology services.Technological infrastructure will have a positive effect to ERP implementationsuccess this factor has been considered as the second critical success factor. Therefore, the required infrastructure to efficientlyinput and output information or the entire ERP implementation.
In conclusion, the main critical success factors ERP system to support any organization areProject Management to link the team with projects, Communication to link theteam with others, Technological Infrastructure to link projects with equipmentand users. Therefore, ERP systems require organizationswith different factors to allow the integrated management of data throughoutthe entire organization, and workflow management function to control the numerousprocess.
