Fielld trips have been conducted to all three sites to record the first hand observations and data to analyse and prepare one compact report of all three sites. Brief details of each site covered as study area are presented below.AMITY UNIVERSITYAmity University, Noida is a private college situated in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. Amity University was licensed by the NAAC (National Accreditation and Assessment Council) with grade A in 2012.

As a Field based study within premise of Amity University, visit has been conducted to the ETP and STP plants established by the University to perform and cater to the environmental management needs of the University premises for the treatment of the Sewage, effluents and solid waste generated with in Univesrsity premise. OKHLA BIRD SANCTUARYThe Okhla Bird Sanctuary (OBS) is approximately 4 square Kilometers in measure and is located at the entry of Noida in GautamBudh Nagar dis-trict of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated at a point where Yamuna River enters in the territory of Uttar Pradesh leaving the region of Delhi. Notified as Sanctuary in the year 1990, it is presently one of the 466 IBAs (Important Bird Areas) in India. As part of study, field visit has been conducted to OBS for recording the observations.GAZIPUR LANDFILL SITEA visit has been undertaken to the Gazipur landfill site which is located along the NH-24 at Ghazipur near UP border in East Delhi Tehsil and spread over an area of 70 acres.

It has been established and Operational since 1984. During site visit it was reported and apprised by the staff of the landfill site that currently there has been more than 14 million tons of waste at the site with normal stature of the load at 65-meter tall. The site had overshot the utmost of 15-meter for a landfill site in 2002, yet barely any means have been taken to counter it. There was a non appearance of any elective site keeping the landfill useful. On an avrage 1800 MT of waste is brought to the landfill site every day.
