Teen age Crime By Kubra Sari. The age of teen-age criminals gets in situations where they feel they have to protect themselves, example when they are out late at night, maybe when they go to party clubs, and get involved in conflicts. Some of the teens go with penknife’s and some girls have pepper spray in their makeup bags, and all this is just the thought of that they should be prepared to protect themselves, it’s sad isn’t it?However, not all types of crime is very serious, some crime is less serious it is depend on the situation and what happened. All crimes is defined by criminal law, which refers to a body of federal and state rules that prohibit behavior the government deems harmful to society. If one engages in such behavior, they may be guilty of a crime and prosecuted in criminal court. In today’s society, criminal behavior and criminal trials are highly publicized in the media and commonly the storyline in hit television shows and movies.
As a result, people may consider themselves well informed on the different types of crimes. However, the law can be quite complicated. There are many different types of crimes but, generally, crimes can be four major categories, personal crimes, property crimes, inchoate crimes, and Statutory Crimes:A more serious crime can be personal crime example, sexual abuses where a person has been raped, as opposite to a fight at a nightclub which happened because some boys they laid an on your girlfriend. I think some of the reasons is because young people will protect what is theirs. Much of it can also happen because they get new friends to socialize with, and they may take them on wrong tracks.
I do think that all crimes need to be punished, but I also think that crimes that are not very bad do not need to have a very strict punishment. I feel like the amount of punishment should depend on how bad the committed crime actually was and who was affected of what happened and why? Criminal activity needs to be noticed and give some sort of punishment, but sometimes that can be a fine or a community service activity. There is no need to have all crimes and all criminals be punished in the same manner because this does not take into account things like age, situation, or extent of the crime.
