Social influence compels others to go against their values and morals in order to be accepted into society. However, this results in our world to evolve into savagery. In the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding and the series ‘The 100’, developed by Jason Rothenberg, we see the authors reflect on the role of justice in society. Authority is challenged by the corrupt which causes conflict to arise and create chaos and fear. Social justice is is conveyed throughout these text types by the choices the characters make as we see them conform to the expectations from society.
