Service positive impact it can have on the

Service to others has always been an integral part of my family. For four generations, social welfare and development has taught us to tend to another’s needs ahead of our own. I grew up with an understanding of the value of serving others, and the positive impact it can have on the lives we touch.
I serve in two roles as part of my devotion. One of the projects that I have been attached with is Camp Mosaic where I as a counselor, expound them about the importance of being responsible members of the society, compete at various sports and games and take on leadership roles – all while growing, discovering, playing, and making friends. One of the hallmarks of the camp experience is that each counsellor and participant walks away with an extensive network of friendships and connections.
Another part is to be an assistant teacher for our religious education. I assist with the resources that has been provided to us. It’s amazing to see the students so interested in our culture and faith and then to see them share their ideas with the world through this platform.
One thing that I have learned from my experiences is that time management is imperative to a successful volunteering endeavor. In a demanding world if you budget your time well, you will find that you can set aside plenty of time for it without compromising your ability to satisfy your other obligations. If you can pull it off, you will find the experience of serving others to be most rewarding. Like former first lady once said – “Giving frees us from the familiar territory of our own needs by opening our mind to the unexplained worlds occupied by the needs of others.”
