Reflect on a recent
purchase you have made. Argue why the product was worth the price you paid.
Create a counter argument for someone who believes the price does not reflect
the value of the product. In your arguments, indicate whether the product has
monetary or psychological value, or both, and the influence this value had on
your purchasing decision.
My recent major purchase was from Aveda. A natural
ingredients, aromatherapy, modern concept of Ayurveda hair products. I
purchased their thickening and scalp set hair products after trying out their
sample set for a week. Honestly, the price was way too expensive than the other
normal thickening hair products in the market. I have used other products such
as Kiehl’s and Keranique hair loss products but none of it gave the result that
I expected. It was supposed to help with the new regrowth, healthier hair and
scalp but even after 6 months using it, I didn’t see any result. So after a
week trying out Aveda products, I can see and feel that my hair was healthier
and more hair growth. Even my family members noticed the change. Since then, I
decided to purchased the whole set of the product. I took the larger bottle and
bundle purchase for the serum since the price gives more value then buying a
smaller set every month. The big set can last 3 to 6months depending on the
usage. Aveda products have this very calming and serene smells, which I find it
really help to boost up my energy and feel more confident whenever I used the
product. I must say that this product has both monetary and psychological
value. I am very satisfied with it because the product benefits not just hair growth
but also lift me up spiritually.2.From the first e-Activity, evaluate how the

Walgreen offers dozens of different products

higher level Walgreen has divided or segmented markets into two main and
important segments, one is pharmacy and other is retail store. They are
constantly looking for ways to integrate these businesses and disintegrate the
differentiation of a pharmacy customer and a store customer. One of the ways
they attempt to transform customers of one or the other
into loyal, Walgreen customers is by offering promotions that would pull them across segments.
One in particular promotion is the $25 gift card offer. Patients who are
willing to transfer their prescriptions from a competing drug store to a
Walgreen pharmacy are rewarded with the gift
card. A gift card that can be used to shop in Walgreens.

One way that would aid Walgreen’s in maximizing
its profits is to create a discount bundling system that would discount your main item if you purchased another
item that has lost its popularity or an introduction item.
Another suggestion would be to double reward points when consumer purchases over a certain dollar
amount or three or more purchase visits a month.
