They often depend on their fame and fortune to the extent that they even misuse their power against the law knowing that at the end of the day they won’t be treated as normal people. Unfortunately, we see celebrities as role models, but many famous people have been accused of terrible crimes. One of the most famous people who has been accused of a horrible crime is: Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan who has a pretty long rap sheet.

She was charged with felony grand theft in 2011 and drug custodies in 2007. She has spent time in the Los Angeles County Jail on three separate cases. In addition to Snoop Dogg who has been charged with drug possession five times. He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon in 2006.

He has also been accused of murder in 1993 but was found guiltless later in 1996. C. Thesis statement It is believed that celebrities get away with more crime than non-celebrities because they do commit crimes without fear of punishment depending on their relations, money and title. Also, in courts they don’t fear the law because unfortunately law gets easier on them .Moreover, they are used to receiving special treatment even behind bars they are still treated differently. II. Paragraph 1 (1st reason)A. topic sentence: The first reason why some celebrities find it easy to commit a crime is that both their money and position talk for them.

Money talks and it’s so obvious that when a celebrity gets involved in a crime the matter gets settled outside court doors. Money reaches out to the victim and the case is withdrawn automatically. That’s why most charges on celebrities vanish from news reports and police file even faster than they are registered. Charges of sexual assault on celebrities are shortly lost between false claims that the victim’s family was simply trying to get money from the celebrity by spoiling his image. Would a normal person get off with a rape charge as easily as this even if the case is false? We all know the answer to this is ‘Not at all.’B.

Evidence:It took more than 6 years for prosecutors to get the R&B star R. Kelly into court on custodies of child pornography. However, in just two days, Kelly’s lawyers called 12 witnesses who included 3 relatives of the alleged victim who affirmed that they did not recognize her as the female on the tape.

To our surprise it only took a few hours for the jury to declare him not guilty on all 14 counts. At last R. Kelly was proved blameless of all charges.

C. Comment on evidenceHistory has proved that celebrities can get away with crime much easier than a common man who is unknown to the multitudes. The main reason behind this is the fact that celebrities have no shortage of money and they don’t lack connections in higher levels of society. With these two tools in their hands, they are able to manipulate the situation effortlessly and have an upper hand.D. Concluding sentence Actually, it’s believed that celebrities’ titles are hard to ignore thus they are able to escape punishment easily as they take fame as their sturdy protective shield. Having the privilege of being a celebrity means that people would owe you love and respect and this might also mean even judges would treat you differently just because of your title. III.

Paragraph 2 (2nd reason)A. Topic sentence : The law isn’t hard on them and in even during the trial they get distinct treatment from everyone around, that is why celebrities might commit crimes without being really anxious about the consequences that may result.B. Evidence:The famous singer “Justin Bieber” was detained in Florida in 2014 on suspicion of driving a rented yellow Lamborghini under the effect and drag racing in a suburban area of Miami Beach. The singer said he had taken anti-depressants, swallowed a beer and was smoking marijuana the whole day. He was driving without a valid license too said Miami Beach Police Chief. Justin’s consequences were as follows: he was set free an hour after arriving in jail, made to pay a $2,500 fine and joining anger management classes.

His license was not taken from him!! However, a Non-celebrity consequence would have been a minimum of four days up to six months maximum in jail, pay $1,000 fine, plus penalties and a suspension of license for not less than 6 months. C. Comment on evidence:You think Smoking marijuana or drinking alcohol while driving is illegal? You are absolutely mistaken because that’s not the case if you are celebrity! Regrettably, laws are easier on famous people more than we think, even during court trials they are not treated as ordinary people are. D. Concluding sentence If celebrities were treated impartially just as they deserve and laws were equally applied on everyone crime rates would drop in few years. IV.

Paragraph 3 (3rd reason):A. Topic Sentence: The third reason why some celebrities might commit crimes and still don’t care about it’s consequences is that they are treated in a tender way even in jails.Even behind bars they are still pampered!! So why worry? Your fame would always give you the prestige you need. Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan was convicted to 3 months in jail in 2010 as a result of breaking her terms of probation.

Not only did Lohan get away with a 2 week stay because of jail congestion, but she was also offered privileged treatment behind bars. She didn’t stop receiving her usual medical treatment in jail and was allowed to have visitors after authorized visiting periods too. Moreover, she was able to order food from some superior stores and could have certain products transported to the jail that weren’t already available.

B. Comment on Evidence :If judges appeared to be fair with celebrity’s crimes and even if the verdict seemed reasonable however this doesn’t mean that celebrities received the punishment they truly deserve, because actually they are still offered special care and attention behind bars. C. Concluding sentence: Do you think this would have been the same if it wasn’t for Lohan? I think not.
