Database is an integral part of the business world.
A database management system solves business problems such as having a simple,
integrated view of data, data mart and niche application consolidation,

There are two main types of databases: relational
database and no-relational database. In this essay, I will explain how a
relational database solution can be applied to a current business problem,
particularly data redundancy.
Relational database is a collection of data items
which has been structured as a set of indexed tables from which data can be

relation minimizes data redundancy. A poorly designed relation can result in inconveniences
due to its rigidity.
Businesses around the world have to deal with large
volumes of data records which may range from financial transactions to employee
records. Most organizations lack an effective means of organizing the data.
This means that retrieving any kind of information becomes a headache because
it’s time consuming.
I also noticed that there’s the likelihood of data
redundancy in an organization lacking the database management system. For
example, a small-scale business may store employee records in the typical
record-writing way, and make erroneous entries on people with similar attributes
such as names or residence. A database management system uses a primary key,
which uniquely identifies each record in a table. This means that each entry in
a table won’t have the same attributes to another similar entry.
Relational database was created to tackle the
emerging problems encountered by businesses worldwide. It solve the problem of
data organization, manipulation, retrieval and management.
Information will be handled in SQL Database
SQL is responsible for querying and manipulating
information stored in a particular database management system in an
organization. It is handled by SQL developers and database programmers. For example,
an SQL programmer may create a table for financial transactions done with a
particular company. The columns of the table may include information such as
date, amount paid, balance and payment details. The rows are filled with data
which corresponds to the information in the column.
Data entry is done by various employees, since the database
software can be used by any department. For instance, a receptionist might need
the system to keep records of all visitors and office appointments. A human
resource manager might need the software to keep track of all employees in the
organization. Once data is included in the system, it’s easy to manage and
share across all devices and can also be manipulated.
