It can be so easy to take schooling and education for granted. Did you know that over 70 million people around the world are not able to go to school everyday? First Point of DiscussionFirst, I’m going to talk about why education is important. Education is important because it is used to mitigate the majority of the challenges that we face everyday. The learning that is attained completed through education helps open doors to a lot of opportunities for better prospects in a improved career. Number 1. Education can save children’s lives. A child whose mother can read is 50% more likely to live past the age of five. Number 2.
Education combats HIV and AIDS. Believe it or not, women with post-primary education are five times more likely than illiterate women to be educated on the topic of HIV and AIDS.Number 3. Education reduces poverty. Did you know that over 420 million people from around the world would be lifted out of poverty with a secondary education. That is truly amazing.
