                       In life we make choices. We choose whether to live or just give up on life we have to make a choice on what we want to do with our life. In are teens , we have lows and highs . Hormones go crazy and our emotions go all haywire making us feel like we’re on a never ending roller coaster. The need to fit in always takes a toll in our lives we become completely different people just blend in with others.

There are times we will have to face problems and tough decisions and times we get really sad and emotional. But sometimes, those problems and tough decisions are also too much to handle and these sad emotions last longer than a few weeks. Some teens don’t tell anyone about these emotions or any of these problems. They are scared people are going to judge them and that there is no way out. Sadly, many teens find that suicide is the only way out. This is referred to as Adolescent Suicide.                        Why teens feel the need to commit suicide? Well some teens try to kill themselves to escape a bad situation that seems impossible; some try to kill themselves to escape feelings or rejection, hurt or loss. Others try to escape the anger, shame or guilt of something they have done.

Some may be worried about disappointing family or friends. And others may feel unwanted like they have no place in the world, unloved, victimized or a burden to their family or friends. We all have those feelings at some point in our lives.

Some people try to go through tough situations one step at a time, try to resolve their problems and move on. So why do some people even considered suicide? The answer is that, people who even considered suicide or commit suicide have depression. Life as a teenager is not easy one and some teenagers cannot handle the pressure.There are a lot of things that may lead a teenager to commit suicide. Some of these may include being stressed out, been bullied ,lost such as breaking up with a girlfriend or a boyfriend or witness family turmoil , verbal abuse or  physical abuse, making a bad grade in your studies, self-esteem problems, feeling all alone. A  Lot of teens may look at suicide as though it is release from all of their problems. Teens think suicide is the solution to all their problems and stress when what they are really doing is making the life of the people around them hurt. Teens may be thinking that suicide is the way out it isn’t.

You see death doesn’t just happen to you, it happens to everyone around you as well. It happens to the people standing around your grave trying yo figure out how to cope with you not being there. It happens to the people who feel a hollowness next to them now, as if their bodies are still waiting for your presence.Suicide may be the easy way out but it’s not the right choice. Life is beautiful. I know it has its ups and downs but everyone has their bad days, But a bad day doesn’t mean a bad life.What is Suicide? Suicide is defined as the act or an instance of taking one’s own life voluntarily and intentionally.

Suicide is the second  leading cause of death for young people between the ages of 10-24. Suicide is also the tenth leading cause of death in the United States (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention). The rate of teen suicide increases every day there are an average of over 3,470 attempts by young people from grades 9-12 this isn’t including that of the percentage applied to grades 7 & 8, the numbers would be higher (The Jason Foundation). Here are some fact about adolescent suicide one being males die by suicide 3.

Firearms are accounted for over 50% of suicides.  Females often attempt suicide twice as often as males ( America Foundation of Suicide Prevention).Although males are 4 times more likely than females to die by suicide.In some cases, suicide is planned. But in many cases, suicide is sudden.

Suicide just happens impulsively, in a moment. Some wants to die and some are not sure that they want to die. For some victims, suicide is that only way to express their pain.

They can’t say how they really feel so, for them, suicide is the only way to get their message across.
