In every corner of the world , people are waging a constant battle against foodborn diseases and food contamination. From a neglected position it has now become an emerging issue. Safe and intoxicated food is a common public health requirement. Safety refers to all the hazards that make food injurious to human health. Foodborne illnesses Is an affliction that is transmitted or carried by eating food that has been contaminated with an unwanted pathogen. A case of foodborne disease can be defined as “illness brought about by consumption of contaminated food which manifests in the form of gastrointestinal disturbance resulting in vomiting and diarrhea commonly”. It is a preventable health challenge that causes a huge number of ailment and the estimated value is 48 million with 3000 deaths per year in a developed country like united states. The symptoms shows a pattern of occurring within a few minutes to weeks and often turning out to be flu like indicator, and because the pro-drome are mostly flu like, so mistakenly it is taken as seasonal rather than recognizing it as a result of harmful bacteria or pathogen. Almost people of all ages are prone to this but infants, pregnant woman, older adults and people with compromised immune systems are at higher risk.
