Crisis management is headed by TheDepartment of Justice  and the FederalBureau of Investigation. Consequence management involves the humanitarian sideof the response, including measures to protect public health and safety,restore essential government services, and provide emergency relief togovernments, businesses, and individuals, during and after the attacks.. Thelead agency for consequence management is the Federal Emergency Management Agency(FEMA).

The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s  job is notify the president of the UnitedStates and the National Security Council to inform them of their response andtheir involvement in the said incident. In addition, the FBI continuouslycoordinates and deciminates all intelligence, information with local lawenforcement agencies in order to maintain situational awreness and successful interagencycoordinations. It is important that the FBI  provides intelligence information of terroristand criminal threats to local agencies in order to prevent future attacks andfor everyone to maintain situational awareness on all details as they comealong. Good communication amongst all responding agencys is crutial, especiallybefore any significant incident occurs. The exercise of delivering goodinformation allows for training and oall agancies remaining vgilant whilesharing information.

In an eventsuch as the bombing of several train/ subway stations within New York City, thegovernment officals will react and provide assistance with their availablerecourses. With a significant terrorist attack,the Mayor  has the option to seek out to the Governor andState Government for assistance and continuous assistance in the recovery ofthe incident.  In assition, the Governorhas the option to utilize the National Guard in order to assist the community. TheGovernor may further seek assistance from the FederalBureau of Investigation  in orderto obtain federal assistance, especially after all available recources havebeen expended.

 There are several threats that are imposedupon the United States which create serious concerns and threats to our everydaylife. Discontent and violent domestic and international individuals and groupsare more than willing to create mass casualties and further cause harm towardsthe public and all responders. In the event of a terrorist attack, the first responders inany emergency is city includes the fire department, emergency medical personneland police. Upon their arrival to the scene/attack, their job is to assist those that are injured as a result of theincident as well as rescue and identify the deceased. In addition, they securethe scene if possible, suppress fires. They assume responsibility in restoringthe area and control the situation by all legal means. Local fireman, policeand EMS work hand in hand to assist the community as best as they can with allavailable resources and with the assistance of state government officials.

.   Earlierthis morning at rush hour in New York City, terrorists remotely explodedseveral IEDs located in different stops in the subway system. Ten explosionsrocked through three commuter trains during the morning rush, at 0600, 5January, 2018. Information by local authorities indicate the explosions werecaused by homemade bombs made from bags stuffed with explosives and metalfragments. In addition, cell phones with timers were used to detonate theseexplosive devices. The attack, which was carried out by violent Islamistextremists, killed at least 100 people and leaving more seriously injured.
