Hades, also known as Pluto,  is an overall scoundrel.  He is the god of the underworld and son of Cronus and Rhea.  Hades is also known as king of the dead.

 He was the richest and most prosperous god there was.  Hades was also one of the most powerful gods.  He owned all souls that appeared in the underworld, and all treasures that came with them.  Some of his symbols include Cerberus, Bident, drinking horn, a key, scepter, and the Cypress.  He had three sisters; Demeter, Hestia, and Hera.  He was also the oldest brother of Zeus and Poseidon.  Hades kidnapped Persephone one day and makes her marry him.

 She then become the queen of the underworld against her own will.  Hades is known today to be a very powerful god and keeper of all afterlife in the underworld. Poseidon, or Neptune to the Romans, was god of the sea, horses, and earthquakes.  He was one of the supreme gods of Mt.

Olympus, but spent most of his time in his watery domain.  He had many symbols including the trident, a fish, a bull,horse, and a dolphin.  He is seen to have a merman tail in many sculptures, movies, and comics.  With one wave of his trident, he could control the sea.  He had a beautiful wife named Amphitrite.

 She was the queen of the sea, and stood alongside with Poseidon.  He was a child of the Titans Cronus and Rhea.  Poseidon had a total of five siblings; two brothers (Zeus and Hades), and three sisters (Hestia, Hera, and Demeter).  Overall, Poseidon seems to be strong and  mighty with his trident. In Greek mythology Nike was the Greek Goddess of speed, strength, and victory.

 She had many symbols including the wreath, a shield, her wings, the laurel wreath, and the palm branch.  The palm branch was a symbol of triumph and victory.  Nike is often seen with having wings.  She was the daughter of Pallas.  Nike had three sister; Zelus, Bic, and Kralas.  Ancient greeks worshiped Nike because they believed she could make them live for eternity and could grant humans strength and speed.

 Today, Nike is know to be winged and magnificent for her many strengths. Hades is seen in many movies and cartoons in today’s world.  On very famous movie Hades is seen is Disney’s Hercules.  In the movie Hercules, Hades is the main villain.  He is seen to be fighting Hercules and trying to kill him.  Another connection I can make is in the Disney cartoon called Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

 Since Hades other name is Pluto, he is connected to the cartoon Mickey Mouse.  In the kids cartoon, there is a god named Pluto.  He is Mickey’s pet.  It is connected to Greek mythology Hades because Pluto, also known as Hades, has the same name as the dog in Mickey Mouse.

Poseidon is related to many things in the modern world today.  Most of them, that people recognize him, are in movies.  On of which is the movie The Little Mermaid.  In the Little Mermaid, Poseidon is known as King Triton.  He is the ruler of the sea and you can see him with his trident; one of his many symbols.  Another movie that may people see him in is the movie Hercules.

 In the movie, Poseidon is seen up on Mt. Olympus with his trident.  Even though Poseidon is to be categorized a god on Mt. Olympus, he is preferred to be in the sea like we see in The Little Mermaid. The Greek god Nike from mythology is famous for being fast.  Nike is relatable to many modern things in this world.  One very famous and well-known relation is the Nike brand.  Nike is a recognized brand that sells clothing, shoes, athletic wear, and athletic gear.

 It is used everyday by people who like to think they are very fast and athletic.  Some are truely fast like professional athletes.  But, the majority of Nike sales are to everyday people who just think the are fast.  Nike is also very noticeable because it has a famous symbol of a swoosh and the words NIKE on all of its merchandise.  The connection between the Nike God of Speed and the Nike brand is the desire to be fast and athletic.
