George Orwell’s 1984, depicts a fictional totalitarian Government (based on the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany) to portray a picture of how regimes use propaganda and terror to control people’s minds, thoughts, as well as actions.

Along with the social division, the Oceania government was also divided into 4 ministries.
The Ministry of Peace (Minipax) served as the military wing that is in charge of the armed force to protect the area. Although, the nation continually remained at war, the battle always remained in a confidential state so that it is not clear who is winning or losing. Next, was the Ministry of Plenty (Miniplenty), that managed Oceania’s “planned” economy. It is the job of the Miniplenty to ration the goods in order to completely control the state’s economic cycles.
