Geopolitics is the study of the effects of geography (both human andphysical) on international politics and international relations.

Geopolitics isa method of foreign policy analysis which seeks to realize, clarify, andpredict international political behavior primarily in terms of geographicalvariables. Characteristic geographical variables are the physical location,size, climate, topography, demography, natural resources, and technologicaladvances of the state being evaluated.
