Friendship through any circumstances and helps them

Friendship is interpreted by most people as a bond that effects people who share the same interests and have similar characteristics unlike discrimination which is when someone is abused or punished for something about them that is not able to be changed. John Boyne’s small wonder of a book “the boy in the striped pyjamas” includes both the themes friendship and discrimination throughout every aspect of the book especially using the characters mostly Bruno and Shmuel to illustrate these themes. This book is set to take place during Adolf Hitler’s reign as the Fuhrer of Germany. In the improbable outcome that Bruno meets Shmuel they develop a bond that takes them through any circumstances and helps them overcome discrimination. Boyne has demonstrated friendship and discrimination in his book and has displayed the power of these themes and shown how if friendship is really believed in it can get anyone through even the toughest of times.
Friendship is when two or more people develop an inextricable bond. Because of friendship, characteristics such as loyalty, love, honesty and trust are exchanged between one another. John Boyne display’s friendship in his extraordinary novel “the boy in the striped pyjamas” through his two main characters Bruno and Shmuel and how he showcases literary devices in the novel. The audience is able to see their unlikely friendship develop to the point where they would die for each other.
