Thecompany is rolling out a feature that allows you to get a closer look at yourfriend’s buddies. It’s not only showcasing connections you’ve yet to make but alot of current friends as well, which seems a bit odd, but I suppose it helpsyou orient yourself with friends you haven’t interacted with in a bit.  Onceyou tap on a button urging you to “get to know name’s friends” you’re castinto a carousel of the connections. Previously, the most prominent way Facebookorients you with potential new friends was by showing you your mutual friends. This option digs deeper, showing you events that you both attended, pages youboth like, places you’ve both worked or lived.

InFebruary, Facebook began rolling out “Discover People,” a feature designed tohelp you find new connections largely through groups and events. The friendcards are the same here, but this roll out throws them into a more wide featurerelease.Thereare more features in Facebook, such as:•News Feed – which keeps the public update with regular news and breaking news.

•Friends – These are the people who youfollow and interact with. You can send a friend request by clicking on a user’sprofile and clicking “Send Friend Request”.•Facebookis well known for copying Snapchat’s features.

For example, they copiedSnapchat’s “Story” feature, in which you get to see how your friends days havebeen and what they’ve been up to. They are also now copying Snapchat’s”Streaks” function, in an ill attempt to get people to interact daily.”Streaks” are a feature where if you and a friend both send a photo to eachother a day through your DM’s (Direct Messages or PM’s, Private Messages) youwill obtain a “streak”.
