Electricity has been part of our daily lives for the past hundreds years. The wonderful works of electricity can be seen in everywhere. Almost everything surrounds us was lit by electric current. Electric current or current refers on the flow of charged particles through a conducting medium, such as a wire. Electric current could be either alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC) and has the purpose of transferring energy from one place to another without a sound, hassle, and inconvenience, which is evidently what we have achieved.
During the late 1880s, 3 inventors namely, Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla and George Westinghouse, battled over which electricity system would be the standard for generating electricity – direct or alternating current. This battle was often called as “War of Currents”.
