Some aspects of human behavior, social practices such as culture, expressive forms such as art, music, dance, ritual, and religion, and technologies such as tool usage, cooking, shelter, and clothing are said to be cultural universals, found in all human societies. v Heritage: It is defined as; “something that is transmitted into generations or acquired from a predecessor”. Or “In heritage all the qualities, traditions, or features of life that have continued over many years have been passed on from generation to generation”. Thus it implies a shared bond, and belongingness to a community.
It represent our history, our identity; our bond to our past, our present, and also to our future to some extent. It is an expression of the ways of living developed and passed on to generations by a particular society or community. Thus it is the legacy or the attributes of a group or society that are inherited from previous generations, and maintained in the present conditions while also bestowed in future for the benefit of generation.
