Through this motivational letter, I would like to put forward my candidacy for stipendium Hungericum.NH1

Recently, Bangladesh government has given a special emphasize on the application of digital technologies to reach nation’s goal to be a middle income country by 2021 golden jubilee of our independence. But to reach this difficult goal, Bangladesh needs new ideas and professionals. I would like to prepare myself as a skilled engineer by obtaining a degree from Hungary.

Hungary is enriched with century old histories, picturesque landscape, and a flourishing culture. It is also a relatively safe country with a low rate of crime and political stability. Moreover, the Hungarian higher education has rich history and strong traditions with institutions operating for hundreds of years. Moreover, this Magyar country is inventors in various fields. When it comes to stipendium Hungaricum program, it gives me a great opportunity to continue my higher education and actualized my goal.

I believe that collaboration with various backgrounds and cultures could raise my awareness on the intercultural and multinational dialogue of the EU. Furthermore, this would be an opportunity to improve the language skills, enrich knowledge and prepare myself to enter competently in real life and to start my career with confidence.

I completed my Higher Secondary from Milestone College in Dhaka with distinctive marks. I studied in science group. My major subjects were Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Information and Communication Technology, Bengali and English. I also studied Biology as an elective subject. But among all these subject Physics, Mathematics and ICT was most interesting to me. I always enjoyed to solve logical problems and find out how things work. I have come to know engineering as a discipline that can satisfy and further develop my interests. My studies, practical knowledge and experience influenced me to choose engineering course.

I believe in self-sufficiency and in I worked in an organization as a part-time IT assistant in vacations. As an IT assistant, my responsibilities were to ensure security and privacy of data, data processing, and maintenance of computers. Moreover, I also helped my father teaching him Microsoft Office. All of these gave me the experience of a workplace, taught me time management and budgeting money wisely.

In school, I was awarded prestigious Government Talent Scholarship for three consecutive years. I was active sports too. I played in Cricket and Badminton Tournament. Two years of duty as a College Captain boosted my leadership skill. I also won second prize in sub-district singing competition and sang in local concert. I was founding member of National Children’s Task Force (NCTF) and active member of a youth club. I also volunteered to raise funds for Rana Plaza and Tazreen Garment’s Tragedy. I sold stamps to support National Blind Welfare Trust in College. I also helped to distribute food among the people of the flooded region.

In regard to my programme choices, I have observed that I have interest in various field of engineering. Because of it, Bachelor of Science in Mechatronical Engineering at the University of Debrecen is my first option. It is followed by my other options, those are BSc in Electrical Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and BSc in Mechatronic Engineering at Óbuda University. All the universities are very competitive both in the academic and non-academic sectors. All these universities have an outstanding reputation in Engineering and have highly developed research facilities.

After completing my bachelor degree in Hungary, I will pursue a career in the field of engineering and gather working knowledge and experience. My ultimate goal is to return to my country and utilized my experiences and expertise I gained overseas in an international environment. My main interest is to work in the growing hi-tech industries in Bangladesh.

I will be grateful if I can become an awardee of Stipendium Hungaricum because it will be a big help for me to achieve my goal in the future.
