The religion in the Latin America is from the Spaniards. Christianity is brought by Spanish conquistadors. Since then, they had embraced the religion as their own. They had many traditions prior to the religion and many saints are celebrated. The Latin Americans are active followers of Christ. They have statues and crosses symbolizing Christ.

Some traditions and feast are from the settler. Christianity plays a deep role in their ideals and visions around life and God. Religions act as foundation for the people to live a full life everyday despite the depression and poverty. They come to realize the teaching of God as the way of heaven.They seek for forgiveness and blessings.

In return, their loyalty and respect to the Creator. This gives them hope and faith to their prayers. They praise God for what He had done to them in spite the oppression within their community. They live the happy life of the simple shepherd that had come to Christ. God is good and God is love. His teachings led people to virtuous works. People become united in a way that they seek only the Greatness of God.

Their minds are centralized to the teachings of God. But the Aymaras have been resisting the offer. The Evangelical churches are common on these tribes but are not being patronized.The tribe is upholding their ancient religion and the government supports the resistance. They believe in animism, an ancient religion that dates back millions of years ago in the temples of the Tiahuanacun.

The term animism is derived from the Latin word anima meaning breath or soul. The belief of animism is probably one of man’s oldest beliefs, with its origin most likely dating to the Paleolithic age. From its earliest beginnings it was a belief that a soul or spirit existed in every object, even if it was inanimate. In a future state this soul or spirit would exist as part of an immaterial soul.The spirit, therefore, was thought to be universal. (Guimaraes, 2006) This had been the belief of the Aymaras since they first set foot on the land.

When the conquistadors came, they were converted to Christianity. And since then, they had worn the religion. But the tribes are deeply connected to their spirits that they had resisted the attempt. Now, most of the tribes have converted. The ancient religion is disappearing.

So, the government is restoring the secretive religion 4. The theology of Liberation is from the prophetic tradition of evangelists and missionaries from the earliest colonial days in Latin America.These are the churchmen who questioned the church and the way the people were treated.

This theology is related to the Christianity of the Spanish; in fact, this theology branched out of the Christian thinking. This branching, however, created a discourse about the importance of the said theology in the society and the people is the recent debate. This is a radical religion since this argued the teachings of Christ. This teaching concerns about the “biases” of religion to many aspects as the poverty and oppression.This is true for all religions, but there are some things which the theology contradicts the Catholicism. The Latin Americans embrace this analysis because they will be benefited.

The idea came form this part of the world. Gustavo Gutierrez is one of the founders of the religion. Gustavo Gutierrez emphasizes that theology is not to be learned but to be applied to everyday living.

This invokes revolutionary action on behalf of the poor and oppressed. This transforms the society and the people for struggle to poverty. Sin, as defined by Gustavo, is the absence of brotherhood and love.He said that Christianity imposed capitalism to the world and that they had oppressed the poor.

So, therefore, Christianity commits a sin to humanity. The religion aimed to changes in the socio-economic structure of the country. The death of Jesus, they argued, has no value and that He died because He upset the religious situation of His time. This greatly turned the heads of priests in the Vatican who believed that Jesus’ death freed the humanity from the sins they had caused.

This is controversial for the Catholic Ministry and the Latin Society since this entails their belief and lifestyle.Although many have followed this culture of liberation, the Vatican implored that they should not embrace the Marxist theory prior to the religion. This theology is controversial for this involves the poor and the oppressed.
