E-commerce is the new wayof shopping and doing business.E-commerce with respect to mobile, is conductedusing a variety of applications such as mobile wallets, push notifications,location based services, mobile payments, etc.

The emerging technologies in thefield of  e-commerce with respect tomobile technologies has vastly benefited the consumers in India in the form ofavailability of goods at lower cost, wider choice and saving time. Technologieshas allowed companies to sell their products through out the geographical areasin India both urban and rural areas.Todaye-commerce has become an integral part of every citizens life.Mobile commercerefers to use of wireless handled devices such as cellular phones to conductonline transactions. Introduction to fourth generation(4G), free internet, lessexpensive smart phones, etc have made accessibility to e-commerce easy.

Inmodern world access to e-commerce is not a privilege rather a necessity formost of the people, especially in urban areas who do not have sufficient timeto visit brick and mortar stores.There are atleast 2500 plus websites in India.According to the study done by Indian institute of e-commerce,India is expectedto generate around Rs.10000 crores online revenue. E-commerce research and application aims tocreate and spread enduring knowledge about fast changing e-commerceenvironment. The purpose of this paper is to review the impact of mobiletechnologies in Indian E-commerce. This paper deals with current and futureaspects  of e-commerce in India.

Furthermore this paper would investigate on why normal websites are not suitable formobile devices .Reviewof Literature Inthe article entitled ‘E-commerce in India – A review’ 2013 by AbhijitMitra,there is an attempt to study the present status and facilitators of E-commercein India. Analysis on the present trends of e-commerce in India and examine thebarriers of e-commerce in India. The study has found that in the recent yearsthere is a significant rise in number of companies taking up e-commerce. Alsothe study found a major India portal sites have shifted towards e-commerceinstead of focusing on advertising revenue.2Accordingto Sujata P Deshmukh, Prasanth Deshmukh and G T Thampi, M-commerce is a branchof E-commerce technology, in short e-commerce transactions carried out usingmobile hand held devises. Today internet is a part of our daily lifecommunication , business transaction and market transactions. India is acountry of many different languages , out of that only 4% of people speak ,write and know English language very well.

If M-commerce use local language, itwill ensure quick success. 3KS Sanjay states that , Mobile hand held technology is less cost included andalso provides a better flexibility and effectiveness to users. Some Crucial IssuesProspects and Challenges” presents a snapshot of the evolution of ecommercebusiness indicating the chronological order , category of e-commerce business,description of organizations involved in India. The study found that, the roleof government should be to provide a legal framework for E-commerce so thatwhile domestic and international trade are allowed to expand their businesswith basic rights such as privacy, intellectual property, prevention of fraud,consumer protection etc are all taken care of”5 Objectives1.To study the concept of E-commerce.2.Toanalyse the present trends of mobile commerce in India.

3.To understand features(technologies) and benefits of mobile commerce in India. 4..To study what is giving way for smooth conducting of E-commerce in India.Statement of Problem Thisresearch is carried out primarily to find out if people know about E-commerceand what latest mobile technologies they use to purchase goods or services overthe internet.

There are various technologies that facilitate e-commerce. Tofind out if people are finding difficulty in using mobile technologiesthat giveway to e-commerce.Method of Data CollectionPrimary Data – Ithas been used in the study by administering a detailed questionnaire and alsoby conducting in depth personal interview of some of them.SurveyQuestionnaireswere given to various people who are working as well as not working, toevaluate their thoughts and their tastes with e-commerce technologies.  Sampling Design:PopulationThepopulation chosen for this study are people(of all genders) who are notemployed as well as employed in a layout of radius 2kms.

Sample SizeForthe purpose of this study, we have collected data from 65 respondents.Sample UnitThisresearch is conducted only on people pertaining to a layout in Bangalore.Sampling techniqueFor,the purpose of study, qualitative sampling has been used. In this technique  data is converted to numerical forms andsubject them to statistical analysis. on the basis of researchers judgement,sample is selected which is considered as representative of population.

So inthis case based on judgement same has been selected.Data Analysis and Interpretation Thefirst question from the survey asked was – if the respondents knew anythingabout E-commerce?   We can see that thenumber of people who knows about e-commerce is 61 people and number of peoplenot knowing is 4 people.   Basedon the question asked in the survey the respondents responded in the followingmanner on buying goods from stores or purchasing online: Buying from storesaccumulating 22.2%. Purchasing online accumulating 77.

8%.Basedon the question asked in the survey the respondents responded in the followingmanner on whether they use mobile applications or desktop websites to buygoods: People using mobile apps and desktop websites are 52 and 13 respondents respectively.Basedon the question asked in the survey the respondents responded in the followingmanner on whether the like to get notifications from jaboong, amazon, relatedapps on home screen or not: 79.7% say Yes and 20.
