1. In this scene from Sleepy Hollow, a man and woman are in the center in the frame. They are the focus of the scene. Behind them in the back is a cross looking man. He seems to be possibly jealous of the attention that the woman is giving the other man. To the side in the background there are some smiling children. They seem happy about the man and the woman. The woman’s fancy dress and clothing hints to what kind of person she is. In the background there is a carved pumpkin. Maybe its Halloween time?
2. In this famous scene from the classic horror movie the Shining, Danny is riding his tricycle down a hallway to see two identical twins standing in front of him. Shocked, he stares strait ahead at them in fear. The camera takes the perspective of Danny, causing the audience to feel like they are in his shoes.
In this scene, the right and left side are almost identical. It is almost unnatural how symmetric this image is. The unnaturalness of it causes the viewer to feel creeped out. The hall way is filled with many rooms, all that look the same. This gives the viewer a sense of confusion. The hallway is very narrow and the small, meaning that Danny feels trapped and closed into his situation. The twins are at the top of the frame, showing that they are dominant and scare Danny. Danny is at the very bottom of the frame meaning that he is vulnerable.
The lights at the end of the hallway bring the viewer’s attention to the twins. The twins are wearing clothing that might be common during the time they lived. They seem very dressed up however and they stand out of place. The twins are the dominant subject of this frame. Notice that Danny is wearing red. Red is a very common color used throughout the movie whether it be the clothing of the characters, the carpet, or the red tricycle that Danny rides. The constant use of red symbolizes what is going to come: bloodshed.

In online learning platform the teacher becomes the facilitator. The teacher -learner and learner-learner interaction is through discussion forums. The entire online teaching learning experience is learner centred.

Reflection Question : Can you list one example of the interactions that happened between these three in a normal classroom?

Answer: Teacher will be explaining the concept of a particular topic by lecture, videos and slides. This is an interaction between Teacher and learner. Teacher delivering lecture by referring course materials and using various features available in learning is an interaction between teacher and content. If the students are doing problems related to the topic, is the interaction between learner and content. Teacher giving chance to the students to discuss the application of that topic among them is an interaction between learner and learner.

1.2 PEDAGOGIC ADAPTATION : LEARNING DIALOGUES (LeDs)

Reflection Spot is the pedagogic modification made in online classroom to make it as a Learning Dialogue where the video is automatically paused to answer the question.
Reflection Question : What is the equivalent of such a video in a regular teaching-learning interaction within your classroom? What additional feature does online video provide us?

Answer : The teacher with preparation of lecture notes , chalk and board and having discussion with students in classroom.
Learner can pause and played the video at any time. The screen size, volume, speed can be controlled according to the need of the learner. If concept is not clear, learner can repeatedly watch the video, move forward or backward if needed to understand the topic properly. Also transcript is coming below the video.

? PEDAGOGIC ADAPTATION : LEARNING BY DOING ACTIVITIES (LbDs)
This is the second pedagogic feature. In this activity a question was asked immediately after watching the videos.
Reflection Question : What advantage do you see in answering practice questions immediately after watching LeD videos?

Answer : By answering practice questions after LeD videos, learner is getting an opportunity to familiarize with the concepts. By answering the questions the concepts is reinforced to the learner. Detailed explanation of correct answer is an added advantage which helps to increase learner understand ability.

? PEDAGOGIC ADAPTATION: LEARNING EXTENSION RESOURCES (LxTs)

This is the third pedagogic feature. The advanced resources like videos, links to webpages, research papers etc. will help us to acquire a deep knowledge about a particular topic. Also assimilation quizzes are included to test whether we have acquired the key concepts from resources.
