Some Simple Personal Health and Hygiene Rules

Do you follow a plan when it comes to your personal hygiene? Do you simply get up in the morning, bathe and leave the house? If you’re doing the latter then you are not actually taking care of your personal health and hygiene.

Nowadays, cleanliness is considered as close to godliness as ever. If you neglect your hygiene, you could be faced with some serious social, health and self confidence implications and issues in both the short and long term. Here are a few things you can do to ensure your personal hygiene is right up there with everyone else:

The first thing you need to do is look at your hair. You need to wash your crown at least twice a week with a mild shampoo that has no alkalis or borax. It isn’t a great idea to use soaps since it can leave your hair sticky. Also, make sure you wash the shampoo out of your hair completely.

As for your skin, make sure you take a bath at least once a day. This is essential if you want to remain hygienic. Mild soaps are terrific when you are bathing. Make sure you don’t use any antiseptic or germicidal soap. You could use them though if you have any smell related or medical problems.

Lastly, don’t forget to brush your teeth regularly. You should brush your teeth after each meal, or at the very minimum, twice a day. The most important time to brush your teeth is just before you go to bed. Make sure you get rid of any food which is stuck in your teeth. Flossing is recommended too. Don’t rely on toothpicks. You will not need more than a dab of toothpaste on your toothbrush while brushing. Anything more than this and you’re just overdoing it. Also, don’t forget that you cannot share your toothbrush with anybody else.
